GW made a loss last financial year (2007) but a profit for the year ended 1st June 2008. Good news, I was getting a bit worried about them and my hobby !

I only hope they weather the storm of the credit crunch, inflation and global slowdown !
I think lower prices and less barriers to entry for the casual gamer and the curious "onlookers" are the key to their success. That coupled with online selling and TV advertising rather than all those fixed costs which come with new stores that non-hobbyists tend to ignore. I reckon most people get into the game in school days/college days through friends not from walking past the shops.
