Forest Spirits :-

cannot join units or be joined by anyone else
5+ Ward Save (nice freebie !)
count as magical attacks
immune to psychology (another nice freebie !)

Use them ! Especially Dryads which are very cheap (although they cannot form rank and files so you don't want your whole army made up of them !)
