How to paint Warhammer miniatures - help !

I will soon be giving a Vampire Counts vs High Elves battle the full video battle report treatment (see the foot of my blog to see what I'm talking about).

This presents me with something of a dilema because I have 2 full 1000pt armies to paint !

I'm keen to make my battle report presentation as slick as possible and I really want to use painted figures for it.

I was thinking of just concetrating on the unit front ranks and special characters and then just undercoating the rest.

Has anyone got any tried and tested speed painting tips. I want to paint the miniatures to a reasonable standard but they don't have to be perfect.

Help !
