It seems that the Vampire Counts' army had assembled throughout the night. The Dwarfs had heard distant shrill cries after dusk but the outlying observation scouts had not reported anything back to the base camp. The commander knew now that it was because the scouts were all dead. Their corpses were pale blue, drained of their blood and their faces contorted in agony. The Dwarfs would exact a fearsome revenge for their comrade's dreadful deaths - they all swore it as they saw the undead host emerge through the morning mists..
