Why is nostalgia always so rose tinted ? I saw these old Warhammer 2nd edition campaign packs (someone just bought them from an advert on this blog) and I couldn't help but smile and cast my mind back into the 1980's - I spent an hour there before I realized that I had other things I needed to do.For anyone else who'd like to share in the reminiscing... (check out the castle floor plans ! I used them again and again in Fantasy Roleplay games - oh the memories).
It also reminds me of the time when GW took themselves somewhat less seriously - they must have had a damn fine laugh in the studio coming up with these supplements :-
Tradegy of McDeath and Terror of the Lichemaster
By the way, some of the miniatures that Citadel used to produce for these supplements are now worth a pretty penny on eBay so if you have any hibernating in a plastic ice cream tub in the garage or loft then now might be the time to cash them in. I sold an old mini a couple of years ago for £25 (about $40 USD) ! Best of all, they're dead cheap and easy to post.
