Lizardman Army - what went wrong ?!

I used to field a lizarman army about 7 years ago (I still have them tucked away in their Lizardman jungle swamp of an ice cream tub).

The problem is... I'm not so sure I'll be taking them out again. What happened ? They used to be rock with the warrior mage priests and cheap effective skink short bow skirmishers.

I recently bought the latest army book. Oh dear...

Help me revive my Lizard friends. How can I win a battle with these guys now ?
