Games Workshop 2007 tournament analysis : the Armies involved

I'm performing some "scientific" anaylsis on the GW 2007 Grand Tournament Final.

Here's what I have so far...

The Armies involved (124 of them)

20 Wood Elves
18 Dwarfs
11 Lizardmen
10 High Elves
10 Hordes of Chaos
10 Skaven
8 Bretonnians
8 Vampire Counts
7 Orcs & Goblins
6 Beasts of Chaos
5 Empire
4 Tomb Kings
3 Dark Elves
3 Ogre Kingdoms
1 Chaos Dwarves

Average Net Victory Points

1960 …Dark Elves
1746 …Skaven
1672 …Tomb Kings
1592 …Bretonnians
1552 …Orcs & Goblins
488 …Wood Elves
95 …Dwarfs
-3 …Empire
-308 …Lizardmen
-540 …High Elves
-576 …Ogre Kingdoms
-735 …Hordes of Chaos
-755 …Beasts of Chaos
-3213 …Chaos Dwarves
-3218 …Vampire Counts
111 …Overall Average

Makes for interesting reading doesn't it ?!

You can probably ignore the Armies with say less than 5 entrants (because the results might not be representative - ie all 4 commanders might have been great or rubbish).

But it gives a clear picture in my opinion...

Skaven & Bretonnians are clearly the best tournament armies and Vampire Counts most certainly the worst ! (And I thought Vampire Counts were good !)

That new Vampire Count book can't come quickly enough in March 2008 !
