Wood Elf Army Special Rules (Eternal Guard analysis)

Eternal Guard
  • Bodyguard - stubborn if accompanied by a Highborn or Noble
  • Fighting Style (see below)
  • Armour save 5+
Armed with 2 hand weapons but the second rank can fight aswell (with 1 attack). So the front rank fights with 2 attacks and the second rank with 1. Treated like the spear rule so second rank attacks are not applicable on any turn the unit charges into combat.

A useful unit but certainly not battle winner's or even combat winners really. Let's face it they still have a strength and toughness of 3 which are their biggest weak points. The above rules and their Ws of 5 does make them better than average for their points cost of 12. Only worth taking to the fight if you include a hero or lord in the unit because these guys will take hits and need to be stubborn* to survive !

Note : the stubborn characteristic is generally regarded as a must have attribute.
