Warhammer Shooting and Missile Fire Rules

Another "in a nutshell" post...

Arc of sight
  • 90 degrees from the front of the unit, measuring from the front rank unit corners

Woods
  • you can see out if you are within 2" of the edge, woods count as soft cover (-1 to hit)
Hills
  • can see over other units if on a hill and can be seen by other units
  • (note all models in all ranks beneath the hill can shoot at the unit on the hill but only the front rank on the hill can shoot at models beneath it !)

How unfair is the above rule ?! In my opinion all models on the hill should be able to shoot downwards, but the above assumes that the models on the hill are on the "flat" part of the hill.

It does however say that you should agree compromises with your enemy where there is any uncertainty. In my games, I usually agree that any models on slopes can shoot.
